We Made it to Maui!!
Home made....
Many people around me know that I love to make things from scratch- whether it be cookies or cakes, home improvement, etc. Baby food is no different....since we have a fantastic farmer's market just down the street I have no excuse.
Here is a picture of Sophia at her first farmer's market (at 3 weeks old!)....
AND here is a picture of Sophia enjoying the fruits of my labor....sweet potato puree from the local farmer's market!

Playtime and the gym
Sophia and I are having a great day so far. This morning we played in her floor gym for a long time because she discovered some new interesting toys hanging . I captured this picture when I walked away to get a drink- she really is fixated on me. 
Then she took a 2 hour nap!!! I was able to clean out 2 closets, which has been on my list for months, so I feel quite happy and accomplished and my house is starting to look a lot more organized and simple. Now we are off to the gym......yes, the gym.
I joined a gym the other day with kidcare, so Sophia can be babysat while I work off the pregnancy pounds. I looked at lots of gyms, focusing entirely on the kidcare because afterall the workout machines and classes are all the same at these clubs, but kidcare is not......and she is our most precious asset. I feel very comfortable with this club......we will see how it goes today, her first day, since up until today Cyrus has been watching her in the evenings so I could go to the gym.

A look back at Sophia's first 4 months
Sophia's 4 month birthday is today, November 10th. It is hard to believe that 4 months ago she was born, but then again as I looked at her today I realized just how much she has grown up already. She is starting to act more like a child and less like a baby, she recognizes familiar faces and she smiles any time her dad or I walk into a room.
Of course as any doting mother would do, I made a video with highlights of the past 4 months. I hope you sit back and indulge yourself in a trip down Sophia's short memory lane.......enjoy!

What good friends we have
Sophia is so lucky to have good friends that shower her in gifts.
Aunt B bought her this adorable blue jogging suit, which she loves to wear and she wore it yesterday to see her first movie, Madagscar 2. She actually slept through most of it, so I am not really sure if this can count as her first movie.
This outfit is a hand me down from Josie and Dana and looks darling on Sophia.
What is even more shocking is how fast she is growing. Both these outifts are for 6 month olds and tomorrow she will be 4 months old........she is one long baby!

Sophia rolled over in October and laughed twice. Yesterday she laughed over and over again as Zach spun a top on the ground and moved his hand quickly. Of course I ordered a top for us .....I love when she laughs!
