Can you believe that Sophia was this small just 1 year ago??

Zach and I were lucky enough to take a wonderful trip up to Yosemite. Maybe it was time for the Dad's to take a moment off and do something we love. Turns out we talked about our kiddo's and wives back home a significant portion of the time, but it was wonderful to have a weekend off. We took off Thursday evening and drove all the way into the park arriving at a full campground at around midnight. We found an empty spot and were out of there by 6am without anyone the wiser.

We found the ranger station line a bit long but had our permit by 9am and were off and hiking. Glen Aulin gets the thumbs up for sure. It is an amazing hike for sure. A few photos...

Sophia -- Water Baby

Sophia continues to amaze us. The other day we took the short trip over to Bee's swimming pool. Sophia had a grand ole time swimming. She didnt love to float on her back, same sentiment as when she is in the tub or really even being held. She prefers to face the world upright, not supine. That said, she really didnt have any trouble kicking, splashing, and generally having fun in the water. These two pictures will help to give you a feel. She loved to splash! She said it is just like the tub but bigger and no messing around with soap or toys. Just Daddy, Mommy and water -- FUN! Credits to Mom for taking the great pictures.
