Girlfriend Weekend: Las Vegas
Last weekend I jet set to Las Wages with a few of my closest girlfriends. We set out to go to a place that would provide us good food, fun nightlife and easy for everyone to get to.
We all arrived mid-day on Saturday and proceeded to eat lunch at a Tacos and Tequila; the food was good, but the company was better. We have not all been in the same place in long time, so lots of catching up and reminiscing occurred. After a few of us tried our hand at the slots, we decided to go and ride the New York New York roller coaster. It was terrifying for me, but it did get the adrenaline pumping. Fresh off the ride we did a little walking and chatting and then went back to our rooms to relax and get ready for dinner. Before dinner we decided to celebrate Ally’s birthday with some small pastries I scored at a patisserie and presents.
We dined at Little Buddha in The Palms- the food was wonderful. We had this amazing sushi roll with no rice or seaweed that melted in your mouth. The fish was wrapped in paper thin slices of cucumber and it was drizzled with a sauce that made it all come together. During dinner a group of dancing dragons came through and performed a small show, which was a treat. After dinner we headed to Monte Carlo for a little gambling and then dancing at Diablo. After dancing for hours, we headed back to the hotel for some sleep. 
The next morning we decided to forego the buffets in honor of shopping (which shows how diehard we all are). We each walked away with at least one find. The group then split into the spa goers who headed toward Canyon Ranch at Venetian and the rest of us who went to Olives in the Bellagio for a delicious cocktail and then a walk through to see the Chihuly ceiling sculpture and gardens. Once we all met back up, we went to Serendipity 3 for frozzzen hot chocolates. 
For dinner that evening we were treated by D to Lawry’s. We all dined to our hearts content and then went to try our luck at Blackjack. I ended up winning and by the end of the weekend was up $50- not bad for an amateur. We ended the night singing in New York New York’s Piano bar before hitting the hay.
Monday morning prior to leaving we went to the Hash House a Go Go for breakfast. B had heard about this place on Man vs. Food and the website touted that many celebrities loved this place. It was not disappointing in portion side or taste. On that note we all headed our separate ways back to reality. I had an extra $50 in my pocket and lots of fun memories.
