You know you're raising a fashionista when….

This morning I walked into Sophia’s room and as usual said, "time to get dressed". I then opened the drawer to figure out what to dress her in and turned to pick up Sophia. She was already in the drawer, pulling out a pink shirt that she went crazy for when I brought it home. I figured that since she handed it to me she wanted to wear it.

Usually getting dressed in the morning causes her to have a full meltdown, but this time she helped me by pulling the shirt over her head and nicely placing her arms into the sleeves….it was shocking. But, as soon as I got it on I realized that it was still way to big for her, so I started to take it off. She had a major meltdown- a 5 alarm as we call it. So I gave up and she wore the shirt today. Then this afternoon she got my sunglasses out of my bag and put them on. We really are raising a fashionista.

It's been a tough week....

Sophia got her first virus and it has 7 days so far. Without going into details it has tested everyone's patience as well as our washer's capacity. In addition, she passed the virus along to me. It took everything I had to muster enough energy to take care of her while I was sick; luckily I am on the mend now. Though we are still struggling, we are hopeful that she will get well soon.

Luckily even with her sickness she is still in a good mood most of the time. Here are some pictures of one of her first meals, toast, and also drinking water. In an effort to keep her hydrated we are doing anything to entice her to drink. Her favorite cup in the house is my reusable Starbucks cup- so far it has been working like a charm.

Sophia being cute

Here Sophia is loving her bath and kicking up a few droplets. I like the smile and how the action is totally frozen by my fancy new flash.



Also on New Years day we took Sophia sledding, she had a grand time.
