Hand me downs are great
Thanks to Paula we have some great summer outfits, perfect for days like today when it is 90 degrees. In honor of the first owner of this cherry outfit, I photographed Sophie in the same manner as Josie was 2 years ago. They are very close to the same ages in these photos too (9 1/2 months) and wearing a 12 month outfit.

Bee's knees
The other day I took a few pics with my 100mm. Lots of fun for sure! You can see I caught this little honey bee digging into the lavender plants that are in our yard.

Mango Again Dad?
Sophia is starting to be a pro at chowing into mango seeds. They are slippery but she is starting to get the hang of it and is able to take lots of nibbles. It feels good to slide your two teef over the seed. I think she is super cute.

Finger paints
Having a child has truly brought out the child in me and even though she is young I have been trying to do fun activities with her. Last week I made her finger paints, invited Donovan over to paint and set up the outdoor table. Although both kids were sort of weary of the whole thing, I did get a few masterpieces from Sophia and lots of fun pictures of the day. 
This was both Sophia and Donovan's favorite part of the day. He is painting and she is laughing.

Easter hunting....
On Saturday we went to a local city Easter egg hunt, which was packed with people. We managed to get one egg in the hunt, a picture with the Easter bunny and a trip into the petting zoo, which scared Sophia.
Overall it was a great day with lots of friends. At the end of the day we had a great little walk and lunch with Zach, Marcy and Donovan.

A few weeks ago Sophie got her first tooth. Two days later she got her second one. Now we are waiting for the third, which I believe is around the corner or close to the surface based on the random crying she has been doing in the last few days.
In the meantime, here she is eating beets tonight. It's the best picture we have captured of her teeth so far since she doesn't like to show them off.
