Berry Picking with the B families

Kathy, Paul, Tate and Dane invited us over to pick olliaberries at their house and then use them to make fresh berry ice cream. The kids had an amazing day picking berries and helping to make and eat the ice cream.





It was a perfect day for the adults too- amazing al dente pasta for lunch with fresh herbs, wine, new friends and smiles and kisses from all the berry stained kids.

Tomatoes everywhere!

Although our summer has been unseasonably cold we finally got a crop of tomatoes. Actually a crop is an understatement- we got a whole bushel. So, we canned some, juiced some, sauced some, gazpachoed some and now we are considering other ideas- tomato muffins, tomato baths and hair dye? Anyway, here are a few photos of this year’s tomato journey.

Tomatoes everywhere!

Although our summer has been unseasonably cold we finally got a crop of tomatoes. Actually a crop is an understatement- we got a whole bushel.
