Welcoming 2012 (a little late)
Sophia being cute
This has happened many times recently and we have been kind of slow to share it with the world. We have a pretty steady stream of pictures going out to our flickr photo page so be sure to check there for cuteness as well.
Here Sophia is loving her bath and kicking up a few droplets. I like the smile and how the action is totally frozen by my fancy new flash.
Also on New Years day we took Sophia sledding, she had a grand time.
If you click on the pictures above you will be taken off to flickr where you can see more pictures from those sessions.
Also we like this picture of a set of Horns fans -- here we are with two big and two little horns fans. We didnt get the outcome we wanted in the big game but we looked good watching.

Let it Snow -- Sophia in the snow

Julia, Bianca, Sophia and I had a great time goin to the snow! We all drove up to north lake Tahoe on Friday. We had a great drive up and Sophia was an angel as usual. Once we got there we saw our buddies Sarah, Steve, Lisa, and Tim. Party time as Sophia said "its bed time"
Also notice the state of the deck...
The next day we went out back and tried to have a controlled slide down the hill. You can see Sophie and I having a grand old time here.
Next we thought we would see if Sophia would like a little snow. Turned out she loved it!
And then ... it started to snow!
We had soo much fun with Sophia. We took her over to Squaw valley and walked around a bit. We stuffed her into the little baby backpack. Turns out she was cute in the baby backpack, anyone surprised?
As the snow fell, Julia and Sophia enjoyed the view. We were just north of the lake. We could not see it from the cabin, but there were huge redwoods and pines right out back.
Then it snowed some more. Turns out it snowed all night!
It turns out it took us most of the morning to dig ourselves out!! Then we hit the road and drove out. We went with the 4 wheel drive instead of chains. Some other folks on the road should have had chains, but we made it just fine without.
