More fun in the sun

Our second day on the beach Sophia discovered not just the water and the wet sand, but also the dry sand. She loved to let it sift through her fingers and toss it in the air. We were actually able to capture it.

This pic is mesmerizing. The clouds echo the hair. The sand and skin give the feeling of earthy presence. Her hands are awesomely placed, right hand designating the passage of time, the left showing the full engagement with life and time. The downward gaze and the uneven shoulders make this picture a sculpture of Soph that holds all her babiness and humanity in one clear image.

I love how this is reminiscent of a benediction from Sophia. She is giving us all a blessing.
